Nurturing your child's passion for cooking

Does your child love to cook or wants to learn? Our summer cooking camp offers an exciting hands-on experience where kids build culinary skills, gain confidence in the kitchen, and have fun creating delicious dishes.

 

Led by our expert Culinary Dietitian, kids will learn essential kitchen skills, food safety and, cooking and baking techniques — all while having a blast. Each day, they’ll prepare a tasty meal and snack to enjoy!

CAMP REGISTRATION DETAILS:

Join us for a full week of culinary adventures on one of these dates:

  • Camp #1: July 14-18, 2025

  • Camp #2: August 11-15, 2025

Cost: $595 per child. What’s included: lunch and 2 snacks daily, apron, cut-resistant gloves, and all camp and activity materials.

Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM; pre and post care available.

Location: Riverbend United Church (14907 45 Avenue NW)

Summer Camp Experience

Mornings are packed with fun, as kids dive into food and nutrition through interactive games and exciting food tastings. In small groups, kids work together to prepare a healthy and delicious lunch each day. Afternoons include outdoor activities, followed by a second cooking session where they’ll whip up a tasty afternoon snack.

Exploring Global Flavours

Children will explore the world through food, discovering new flavors and creating dishes inspired by cuisines from around the globe. They’ll have the chance to prepare classic recipes from North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

  • We provide daily lunch and snacks, apron, cut-resistant gloves, digital recipe booklet along with all cooking ingredients and activity supplies.
  • To ensure a safe and enjoyable cooking experience, please follow these guidelines:

    • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are required. Participants wearing open-toed footwear will not be permitted to participate.
    • Clothing: Loose sleeves are not allowed. Participants must wear fitted clothing that does not interfere with food preparation.
  • All camp recipes are nut-free, but we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. At this time, we are unable to accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions.

  • We maintain a ratio of 1 culinary instructor for every 35 children, supported by 3-4 camp counsellors to ensure a safe and engaging experience.
  • Supervised before and after care is available from 8:00–8:30 AM and 4:30–5:00 PM for $70 per week.
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to  nutritionhealthtours@gmail.com.
  • Requests made 30 days or more before the session start date will receive a full refund. 
  • Requests made less than 30 days before the session start date will be subject to a $125 late cancellation fee per camp session and per child. 
  • After the session starts, no refunds will be issued.
  • Health & Attendance: For the well-being of all participants, individuals must be in good health to attend. Refunds will not be issued for single days missed due to illness.
